Engineering Subject Centre Associates

The Engineering Subject Centre currently has 11 Associates, who are based at higher education institutions around the UK. The Associates are individually recognised for having expertise in their own fields of learning and teaching. The Centre annually contracts Associates to work with the Centre on delivery of the Centre’s aims.
The Associates expand the expertise and activities that the Centre can offer to the engineering education community.
Examples of the Associates' work include the writing of Teaching Guides, the facilitation of workshop(s) with academic departments, writing for our website (eg. for Scottish and Welsh strategies in HE) and the review of conference and journal papers and funding bids. Associates also represent the Centre on national grants and projects.
The Associates receive regular updates on developments in engineering education, provide the Centre with updates from their own communities and attend an annual Subject Centre event where they participate in the forward planning of the Centre's activities.
