Engineering Subject Centre Student Award 2011
Every year the Engineering Subject Centre provides the chance to all students studying a discipline related to engineering at undergraduate level in a UK higher education institution to submit opinions and experiences in a 1500 word essay.
This year two essays have been chosen entitled ‘How do you think engineers can contribute towards improving quality of life in developing countries? How does your university experience prepare you to be a part of this?'
This years finalists are:
Blanka Maruskova, University of Exeter
Alexander Kinnaird, University of Southampton

The competition has been supported by the Global Dimension for Engineering Education project, run by Engineers Against Poverty.
