Professional development for engineering academics
The Centre provides professional development opportunities for those teaching engineering at HE level including workshops, resources and funding. We provide information, advice and support for engineering education through our website, regular e-bulletins and in response to direct enquiries.
Events and departmental workshops
The events calendar highlights national events offered throughout the year and our working with departments page includes examples of the types of activities we can bring directly to you in your institution. From workshops for those new to teaching engineering through to events focussing on emerging agendas such as employer engagement or programme design, we aim to offer something for all involved in engineering education.
Mini-Projects
The Centre can support learning and teaching developments and education research through Mini-Project grants of up to £3,500. The Mini-Projects aim to stimulate interest and provide motivation for people to get involved in enhancing the student learning experience and to promote excellence in learning and teaching in the area of engineering education.
