online seminar series logoUsing electronic voting systems to support student learning in engineering

Free seminar ran November 12th, 2-3pm (GMT) 2008.

The event explored the theory and successful application of Electronic Voting Systems and Personal Response Systems (EVS/PRS) within education.

Post-event Resources:

1. A complete recording of the session is now available here:   http://tinyurl.com/evsseminarrecording   (the recording requires Elluminate to start up first).
A web format version of the session video is also now available for those not able to support Elluminate (Quality may be slightly lower than the Elluminate recording above.)

2. Two videocast recordings featuring the views of the presenters are available below. The vidcasts are to provide background information on the theory and application of EVS.
One video address the educational underpinning for the use of such systems and the second focuses on examples of use within education.

3. An online networking and discussion tool is available to provide delegates with a chance to network before and after the event. Our speakers and subject centre staff will be available to answer questions on EVS.

Presenters:

Professor Jim Boyle from Strathclyde University and Andy Ramsden, head of e-Learning at the University of Bath.
