Online events programme
Providing choice and flexibility to our community
The EngSC events programme of Online Seminars is designed to drastically reduce the time commitment required to attend by delivering a one-hour online session including discussion with experts in the field and with the emphasis on examples and demonstrations. These online events complement our extensive existing face-to-face events programme and our departmental support service; an established portfolio of pedagogic topics at both strategic and operational levels aimed at departments and which can be delivered face-to-face or online.

Other possible subjects currently under consideration
Currently under consideration for inclusion in the online event series are recent developments in Learning and Teaching, remote labs, employer engagement and blended learning (using a blended learning format). We also intend to provide online versions of our departmental activities (See above.)
Available resources from previous online events
Each online event includes videocast overviews featuring the views of the presenters on the subject, links to useful resources and a recording of the online session as a reference on the subject. A list of these useful resources can be found by clicking this link. Subjects include: audio supported learning, using electronic voting systems, virtual learning environments in engineering and using Second Life® (SL) in engineering.
