Engineering Education Journals
Australasian
Journal of Engineering Education (AJEE)
Now online, the journal aims to generate interest in engineering education
among academics and industry leaders within Australia, Asia and the Pacific
Region. It also aims to provide an international forum for discussion, and to enhance
the opportunity to exchange information on engineering education and industrial
training at tertiary level, including the need for systematic and comprehensive
research on methodology and curriculum development.
British Journal of Engineering Education (BJEE)
This journal provided a forum for the discussion of engineering educational issues in the UK. It ceased publication with Volume 5 Number 1 June 2006. Many of the editorial board were subsumed into 'Engineering Education', the Journal of the Higher Education Academy Engineering Subject Centre.
Computer
Applications in Engineering Education (CAEE)
This journal provides a forum for publishing peer-reviewed, timely information
on the innovative uses of computers and software tools in education, and for
accelerating the integration of computers into the engineering curriculum.
Connections
Set up by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), Connections is an
e-newsletter for engineering educators, who are not ASEE members. Published
monthly, it provides the latest in engineering news and links to feature stories
in Prism the journal for members of ASEE.
DISTILATE: Disseminating Innovation, Scholarship and Transformation in Learning, Assessment and Teaching of Engineering
This is an online periodical that provides reference sources covering issues relating to four of the Center for the Advancement of Scholarship on Engineering Education (CASEE)'s research themes:
. Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Processes;
. Teachers and Learners;
. Courses, Laboratories, Curricula, Instructional Materials,
and Learning Technologies; and

Education for Chemical Engineers (ECE)
ECE is IChemE’s online journal, launched in May 2006. With a remit to publish education research papers, resource reviews and teaching and learning notes, ECE is targeted at chemical engineering academics and educators, discussing the ongoing changes and development in chemical engineering education. This international title publishes papers from around the world, creating a global network of chemical engineering academics.
Engineering Education - the Journal of the Higher Education Academy Engineering Subject Centre
Engineering Education is a peer-reviewed, international journal and is freely available via the website of the Engineering Subject Centre and distributed in paper format to all UK university libraries and Engineering departments. Two issues of Engineering Education are published each year.
Engineering Studies - Journal of the International Network for Engineering Studies
Engineering Studies is an interdisciplinary, international journal for the scholarly study of engineers and engineering. Its mission is: to advance research in engineering studies; to link scholarly work in engineering studies to broader discussions and debates about engineering education, research, practice, policy, and representation. Engineering Studies is published three times yearly by Routledge, an imprint of the Taylor & Francis Group, beginning in 2009.

Published quarterly by SEFI, the journal examines the economic, cultural, and social
factors which influence the education of engineers in different societies
and provides a forum in which teachers in engineering schools, institutions

Established by the UNESCO International Centre for Engineering Education (UICEE), the Global Journal
of Engineering Education (GJEE) aims to provide

The Journal of Continuing Engineering Education and Lifelong Learning covers

International Journal
of Electrical Engineering Education (IJEEE)
This journal aims to provide an international forum for the debate of teaching
electrical engineering and electronics in universities. Remit encompasses
course and curriculum development, validation and assessment; traditional
reports of laboratory experiments; and insights into new methods and approaches
to teaching, with particular emphasis on the use of communications and information

This research journal is published 4x yearly by the Education Society of the
IEEE. Abstracts may be viewed on-line free of charge through IEEExplore but
membership to
the Society is necessary for hard copy or full on-line access. A free on-line
supplement is also produced containing articles not found via IEEEXplore.
The Interface
a Newsletter of the IEEE Education Society and ASEE ECE Division may be accessed
free of charge on-line.
Journal of Engineering Education (JEE)
The Journal of Engineering Education is a scholarly professional journal published quarterly by the American Society for Engineering Education. Papers submitted are reviewed by an Editorial Review Board and outside referees for their contribution to engineering and technology education, development of new ideas, and appeal to a broad readership of engineering educators and others.

of Professional Issues in Engineering Education and Practice (JPIEEP)
Examines topics of broad professional interest, diverse views of engineering
management, professional activities, and technical problems. The journal investigates
the relationships between civil engineering and other disciplines, while emphasizing
the engineers' obligations and responsibilities. Social, economic, and ecological
implications of technological achievements are highlighted in papers authored
by both engineers and professionals from relevant disciplines.
Prism online
Prism is a news magazine published nine times throughout the year by the American
Society for Engineering Education. An online version is available.

Transactions on Engineering and Technology Education (WTE&TE)
The WIETE's World Transactions on Engineering and Technology Education seeks to advance continued growth and evolution in knowledge and understanding in engineering and technology education by publishing strictly refereed international articles in the field, thereby benefiting humankind by providing the next generation of engineers and technologists with greater knowledge in educational methods.

Active Learning in
Higher Education
Active Learning in Higher Education focuses on all aspects of
developments, innovations and good practice in higher education
teaching and learning worldwide, including the use of Communication and
Information Technologies (C&IT). The journal which is published 3 times per year includes accounts of research by those active in the field of learning and teaching in higher education, and overviews of topics, accounts of action research, outputs from subject-specific project teams, case studies and theoretical perspectives.
Assessment
& Evaluation in Higher Education
The purpose of this journal is to help advance understanding of assessment
and evaluation practices and processes, particularly in the contribution they
make to student learning, and staff and institutional development. The journal
is aimed at all higher education practitioners, irrespective of discipline,
and sets out to provide readily accessible, up-to-date information about significant
developments within the field, with a view to the sharing and extension of
evaluated, innovative practice.
British Journal of Higher Education in Further Education (BJHEinFE)Launched in 2007, the British Journal of Higher Education in Further Education (BJHEinFE) is a new, free, open access e-journal. It includes descriptive case studies about HE in FE, in addition to research articles evaluating such projects, developing policy or creating theory. It will be published at least three times per year. The principal contact for the journal is Dr Neil Witt of the Higher Education Learning Partnerships CETL (HELP-CETL). Educational Research Abstracts Online
Educational Research Online is a comprehensive database comprising over 21,000
high-quality abstracts which cover the current international research in education.
ERA includes abstracts from seven top international abstracting journals which
scan over 700 journals. From 2001, ERA will also include additional abstracts
not published in the print editions.
International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (IJ-SoTL)
IJ-SoTLl is an, international, peer-reviewed, open access eJournal. It is published by the Center for Excellence in Teaching at Georgia Southern University (Statesboro, Georgia, USA). The journal includes articles, essays and discussions about the scholarship of teaching and learning and its applications in further and higher education. The website provides further details about the submission of papers.
Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (LATHE)
Lathe is an interdisciplinary refereed journal relating to learning, teaching and assessment in higher education. It publishes papers, case studies and book reviews. It is funded from the University of Gloucester's Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund provided by HEFCE.
Practice and Evidence of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (PESTLHE)
This journal offers an opportunity for those involved in University learning and teaching to disseminate their practice. It aims to publish accounts of scholarly practice that report on small-scale practitioner research and case studies of practice that involve reflection, critique, implications for future practice and are informed by relevant literature, with a focus on enhancement of student learning. The journal is published twice a year (April and October).
Studies in Higher Education
Studies in Higher Education is the international journal of the Society for Researchers in Higher Education (SRHE). It is published 6 times per year and includes "empirically based, reflective and synoptic articles dealing with any aspect of higher education, approached from any perspective or discipline".

ALT J (Association
for Learning Technology Journal)
ALT-J is an international journal devoted to research and good practice in
the use of learning technologies within higher education. Published three
times yearly and contains articles, review articles, reviews and short notes.
British
Journal of Educational Technology
The British Journal of Educational Technology provides readers with the widest
possible coverage of developments in international educational and training
technology. BJET is a primary source for academics and professionals in learning
technology. Published five times yearly.
Computers
and Education
Published eight times a year, the journal is an established technically-based,
interdisciplinary forum for communication in the use of all forms of computing.
The Editors welcome any papers on cognition, educational or training systems
development using techniques from and applications in any technical knowledge
domain.
Innovations
in Education and Teaching International
Published four times a year, IETI is for all practitioners and decision makers
who want to stay informed about the developments in education and training.
It is the official journal of the Staff and Educational Development Association
(www.seda.ac.uk). The content
includes a range of perspectives, and important contributions on new developments
in educational technology.
Interactive Educational
Multimedia
Published biannually the Interactive Educational Multimedia is a journal intended
as a space for dialogue and reflection about the application of the multimedia
technologies in education. The publication is open to all who
wish to propose articles on this subject. The articles are about subjects
related to educational multimedia, hypermedia, learning, design, didactics,
teaching and evaluation of the new technologies when applied in education.
ICM is edited by the Multimedia Teaching and Learning Group University of
Barcelona (ICE).
Journal of Educational Technology and Society
An on-line quarterly, which diiscusses the development and implementation of educational
systems. IFETS encourages discussions on the issues affecting the educational
system developer (including AI) and education communities.

The Journal of Computer Assisted Learning is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, international
journal which covers the whole range of uses of information and communication

Mediated Communication
An online journal publication. Articles submitted to JCMC should make a contribution
to knowledge in the field of computer mediated communication. Acceptable articles
will most frequently join theoretical analysis with empirical investigation,
and/or incorporate demonstration or simulation. Reviews, synthesis, and meta-analyses
of prior research are also welcome.
