LTSN Engineering Teaching Awards 2003 - 2004
Recognising and rewarding good practice in engineering education.
Background
In 2003 the Teaching Awards were established to provide an opportunity for engineering academics to receive national recognition for the high quality of their learning and teaching practices. Sixteen entries were received, which were shortlisted down to seven with whom LTSN Engineering (now the Engineering Subject Centre) could work with over 2003-2004 to develop a Case Study of their practice.
We would like to extend their congratulations to all of those awarded and the overall winner, Mike Blamey, who was presented with his award and £500 towards future conference expenses by Richard Shearman, Deputy Director, Engineering Council (UK). All finalists were presented with a certificate at the International Conference of Innovation, Good Practice and Research in Engineering Education, EE2004 on the 8 June 2004.
Supported by the Engineering Council (UK)
