Wider Networks

The Engineering Subject Centre works closely with a wide network of organisations to support the development of good practice and innovation in engineering education.

UK Engineering Organisations

The Centre works closely with a number of UK based networks and organisations to help promote excellence in engineering across the UK. By this close involvement we can offer support in wider curriculum issues such as maintaining standards and providing representation for the engineering academic community .

International Networks for Engineering Education

By ensuring that the Centre is involved not only on the UK but also on the international stage for Engineering Education, we can bring you close to advancements that are being made elsewhere in the world.

Discipline Networks

As engineering encompasses so many disciplines, these networks aim to foster and encourage good practice within a specific discipline and provide colleagues with discipline-specific support.

Sector Skills Councils

Sector Skills Councils are supported and funded by the Sector Skills Development Agency. The Centre is liaising with the sector skills councils that have been identified as having cross-cutting themes with the Engineering Subject Centre.

CETLs

The Centre will be working closely with ten from the seventy four funded Centres of Excellence for Learning and Teaching. This close relationship will result in more joint events and resources for you to benefit from.

UK Departments

We aim to have departmental contacts in all engineering departments delivering HE engineering programmes across the UK. The role of a contact includes receiving communications from the Centre, and promoting the resources and support available from the Centre to departmental colleagues.  Our database of UK Departments holds website details for all UK engineering departments; we also have a searchable listing of our contacts so you can now look up their name or location from our site.
