Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

The Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs) initiative had two main aims: to reward excellent teaching practice, and to further invest in that practice so that CETLs funding delivers substantial benefits to students, teachers and institutions.

Seventy Four Centres were funded across England hosted by 54 different institutions, with a total funding allocation of £315 million over five years, from 2005 to 2010.

The CETLs promote excellence across all subjects and aspects of teaching and learning in higher education. Funds awarded are used to recognise and reward excellent teachers, and to enable investment in staff, building and equipment to support successful learning.

The Engineering Subject Centre is supporting the dissemination of resources relevant to the engineering community.

Our resource database currently contains 17 resources in the CETLs section, listed in summary form below. To view the full descriptive record for each resource click the '[View full description/Comments] ' link after the title.
